today was one of those days that makes me remember why i love teaching so much! 🥰 we had a blast with a hands-on science experiment about volcanoes 🌋 and the kids' excitement was contagious. seeing their faces light up when the "lava" erupted was priceless. days like this fuel my dream to lead the early education program one day. also, shoutout to my hubby for helping set it all up last night!

hey everyone! 🎨✨ so, the cutest thing happened today in my class. i was showing the kids how to make paper mache planets, right? and little emma, bless her heart, decided her planet needed a pet dinosaur. 😂 so there she was, sticky hands and all, molding a tiny dino with the most serious face ever. honestly, it’s moments like these that make me love teaching even more. they remind me why i’m pushing to lead our early childhood program. anyway, feeling super grateful for these little humans and their wild imaginations. 💛

hey friends! 🎨✨ just had the cutest moment in class today that i just have to share. we were learning about colors and i brought in this big box of crayons, you know, the one with like 64 colors? anyway, little sammy pointed at "macaroni and cheese" and was like, "mrs. h, i didn’t know cheese had a color!" 😂 kids say the darnedest things, right? moments like these make me so grateful to be a teacher. also, side note: totally craving mac and cheese now... anyone else? 🧀💛

hello friends! 🌟 so today in class, we had a little adventure... one of my 2nd graders, emma, brought in her pet turtle, shelly, for show & tell. you should have seen the kids' faces—total awe! 🐢💚 we ended up creating a whole lesson around shelly; we drew turtles, learned about their habitats, and even did a turtle race (shelly won, of course 😂). moments like these remind me why i love teaching so much. it’s not just about books and tests, but those spontaneous moments that spark joy and curiosity. what's something unexpected that made your day recently? ✨
