I was advised to say a bit about me ... and I don't want to do it. Reasons are simple; I have a job that doesn't need social media, a job where I actively discourage use of social media. It's a good job where I get to run organisation that bets $Bs on people, teams and ideas that are wrongly executed, and if we're right, we're getting more $Bs back. But I want to learn and explore something new and a friend got me in here. It's not my real picture - it's an ai generated picture describing myself. This might be stupid question to ask on farcaster but ... is there any other decentralised social platform I should consider joining? My goals for joining farcaster and X: - see how it works (really, I don't use any social media) - get to know more about web3 - get @bfg of my back that I'm missing out on meeting cool people outside of my bubble - build base for non-academic discussion for my research on being human in the age of ai I'm not here for airdrops, scams or life changing money...but I do enjoy good art and photography and that seems to be plentiful here.

The main angle I’m exploring started a couple of years ago with a simple question: -> “What it will mean to be human in the age of AI?” But it ultimately leads to a shorter question: -> “What does it mean to be human?” This can always be very long or very short discussion and most people have never thought about it. Still confused how to create my own channel - super confusing - I was told I need Warps, ok, but I expected to just click - Create a channel, pick a name and I'll get redirected to pay something and it will happen? But doesn't work like this for me, am I doing something wrong? Btw tried on comp and mobile 😬

One more thing I'll document here as I go - how f*ing difficult it is to start as a freshman on Farcaster and X ... - Everyone thinks I'm a bot. - Nobody can see what I post ... I refuse to pay Elon's f*ing fees and I don't think there's an option to pay to be seen here? - I don't know how am I then supposed to become more credible member of online society when credibility is judged (probably) mostly by number of followers? ... but I started with a single person I knew here and that's @bfg and he's my only follower 🥲 where are other humans?
