This poor journalist had to watch a week's worth of crappy UK soaps (https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cpqlg9y9y1qo) but some good came out of it. She inadvertently set a board game challenge! Can anyone figure out the three board games hiding on her shelf in this low res photo?

Are you happy with where channels are at now with the membership changes? Any future plans for their evolution/direction? I really liked the reddit-style communities but worry memberships add off-putting barriers to entry and create walled gardens? Quality control vs permissionlessness trade-off I guess.

Not sure I can add to what Garfield said tbh, just an enthusiast not a pro! IMO it's hard. You create rules with possibility for emergent complexity, test them and find the fun, then repeat. I love the idea of on-chain games but this all becomes extra challenging when there's financial incentives to break the game.

If the AI optimists are right maybe it's "creator" or "player"? How would people want to spend their time in a utopian existence where capitalistic competition for scarce resources has become unnecessary. If the AI optimists are wrong, maybe it's "survivor" 😅

One thing I always hated on X was that if you're into crypto, french poetry and lego then your followers are going to have to put up with a lot of crap they're not interested in on their feed. Loved how farcaster solved this with channels like a hybrid X/reddit UX. Has that changed now with this membership thing?

Sounds healthier that my approach... Spend another 3 days digging the hole deeper, then an afternoon trying to convince anyone in the team that will listen that we should merge it ("I'll add a todo to go back and rethink it later!") before eventually conceding that it's garbage and getting a beer.

Probably average a play every 18months or so, would love to play more! We played an async over Christmas though using the discord server, it took us about 3 weeks. It was a lot of fun, I had Nomads, one of the expansion factions who seemed very flexible. Hope you have a good game! 🚀
