you can definitely follow @kepano for more, but as for how I use it, I am probably the definition of a note taking minimalist. 

i use it almost exclusively for 
1. daily notes
2. tasks
3. family/routine management
4. projects (work) -- in which case i integrate todoist, kanban and excalidraw
