Just finished season 4 of Outer Banks and here’s the only explanation I can come up with for why it is so bad: the writers strike must have started around episode 5. The first few episodes although not the best at least make sense in terms of the previous 3 seasons & viewer expectations. It then jumps the shark. 

It’s not that you need a willing suspension of disbelief; you need to willingly remove all intellect & taste. The last episode may be one of the worst tv episodes in history— seriously, it could rival the Seinfeld finale. BUT please watch it — so I have more people who I can chat with about how truly awful this season was. 

My only hope is that season 5 starts with JJ getting out of the shower and telling Kiara about the crazy dream he had a la Bobby in Dallas. There is no other hope to save this catastrophe.

Personal note: I couldn't even bring myself to watch it during the darkest days of the pandemic- and strike-fueled series voids. I did, however, watch a season of Singles Inferno and untold Spanish melodramas. 😂
