I still don't get why Google Assistant is soooooo bad. Even for very simple things like "play [this radio station] on [this device]", where [this device] is a Google device like a Chromecast or Youtube TV.  It will work for a week then the next week it's just like "f*ck you I'll do something random instead".

P.S.: I have been complaining about this for years, even back when I worked there to the engineers working on it. The fact that it can still be so terrible in this day of super-powerful LLMs is beyond baffling. At one point they basically had the entirety of the company investing in the damn thing.

mine stopped responding to voice commands entirely nearly a year ago. "set an alarm for 10 minutes" pulls up search results, its a trainwreck. im over it, no more talking to my devices, ill just swipe like it's 2010 again

i feel like assistant was magic when it first came out a decade ago and then just stagnated
