How many times do I have to repeat that most users and developers on Farcaster did not know Varun or myself prior to joining Farcaster.

And in some cases have *become* friends because they stuck around early on when no one else cared. We've spent years with this people socializing on this social network. :)

Don't conflate something that's earned / built with cronyism.

i saw someone mention farcaster on twitter, so i looked up dan (i knew nothing about him before that) and sent him a DM on halloween night 2022. he sent me an invite that very night, and my life hasn't been the same since.

farcaster's greatest value has always been its community. it is the best open community not only in crypto, but in all of tech.

Not that far back, it was too quiet. I really miss like fall 23 to early spring 24. It was so fun then. Remember when we were minting NFTs all the time? Seems so long ago!
