@barmstrong Do you think cryptocurrencies and blockchain technologies have a role to play in creating peace?

Will these technologies have an influence in mediating, diffusing, and/or exacerbating tensions that seem to be rising?

I don't think crypto is a panacea, but yes I do think it will help with this.

Growth solves all problems (in companies, countries, etc). When countries stop growing, you see more internal division, and war with other countries.

Economic freedom is negatively correlated with war, I believe because it facilitates growth. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_Freedom_of_the_World

So TL;DR crypto is the best tool we have for sound money, free markets, global trade, property rights, etc - basically injecting good financial infrastructure...

...into the countries of the world. This will create growth, and reduce war/conflict (both internal and external).
