I deeply believe that the question of suicide is the most important question in philosophy. Until we answer the question "why we should live in the first place?" what's the point of pondering about evil, beauty, justice and love?

maybe there isn't a clear reason always for the point of life, but there also isn't one for death either I don't think. both sides break down when you try to come to a clear logical reason that's supposed to encompass everything alive. we just are just beings, meant to be, so if there's no point in either side, just be

Agree, death and life both are pointless (as everything in the universe, obviously) but as beings with feelings who are susceptible to suffering it doesn't make any sense choosing one pointless state in which we suffer over the other in which we don't suffer.
