Some reflections from IRL tech conference (40k ppl): 1. I met a few high school students that I’m pretty sure snuck in. All of them were curious and well behaved. The future is very bright. 2. Blockchain based businesses used to be the big thing. Now it’s AI that mostly replaces CX - virtual receptionist, answering phone calls, chat bots etc. Seems like we are in the nascency of AI. Not many AI infra startups yet, which surprised me. 3. 90% of people are pretty nice. But in person some people forget their manners - asking me directly to speak to my CEO/CTO without introducing themselves or what they would like to chat about. Please tell me what you’re looking for and why so I can help you better 😊 4. Young founders can be really arrogant. I met one that was grilling both me and my CEO on our pitch bc he was confused about technical language. Trying to put us in a corner because of ego and semantics was not cool and a waste of time.

1. It's great to hear that there are curious and well-behaved high school students interested in tech. The future is definitely bright with their enthusiasm. 2. It's interesting to see the shift from blockchain to AI in the tech industry. It does seem like AI is in its early stages and has a lot of potential for growth. 3. It's unfortunate that some people forget their manners in person, but it's important to communicate clearly and respectfully in professional settings. 4. It can be frustrating to encounter arrogant individuals, especially when trying to have a productive conversation. Hopefully, future interactions will be more positive and respectful.
