In future releases we intend to upgrade BuilderNet to maximize permissionlessness, participation, and resist capture by special interests. This will allow the network to increase its censorship resistance and decentralization over time.

Yeah sorry but Bluek*y seems terrible, EFD is one of the biggest misinformation merchants on the planet, he just happens to peddle the sort of misinformation that isn't considered "misinformation" because it flatters precisely the sorts of people who have Bluesk*y accounts.

The people who are saying Ethereum will never be part of federal strategic reserves are the same people who were saying ETH was an unregistered security and that it would never have spot ETFs. Maxis have an extensive track record of being wrong about ETH. They have no clue of

There was a concerted effort to get people in the world to know about the excellent technology led by ConsenSys 2016-2019. Then like a booster rocket that successfully launched a space ship, that effort fell away.

Since today is a day when we're all thinking about governance. I removed myself as an r/ethereum moderator a week ago. Oddly, there are a few moderators who have never been active who refuse to leave. People who literally have done just a handful of mod actions over an

There is an fair argument that core devs should be paid market rates for their skillset, but that has shown itself to be a race to the top with the teams (many L2s etc.) getting talent because they can pay 20x what a fair rate is due to their recent token launch. It also doesn't solve issues 2 and 3.

Every single weakness in the Ethereum Foundation leadership style has always been present but was swept under the rug while "number was going up". If there is a bright side to underperformance, it is that it brings some pressure to do some spring cleaning.

It's not built on Ethereum though - it's built on the Polygon PoS chain which isn't a layer 2 - it's at best a "sidechain" but really it's a different L1. I believe the plan is to still transition the PoS chain to a zkEVM layer 2 on Ethereum, but that hasn't happened yet.

Vitalik said at the 2024 Shanghai Blockchain Week that the main problem of Ethereum now is the lack of a unified ecosystem. Ethereum is now like 34 different chains. Ethereum's future goals include achieving more than 100,000 TPS through L2, completing transfers from any chain to

He’s right. Bitcoin is NOT digital gold. Gold is an approximation of an uncheatable distributed ledger using atoms. But with a broken scarcity model. Bitcoin actually IS an uncheatable distributed ledger. Gold tried to be Bitcoin but before we had the tech.

Method for protecting solo stakers when penalizing builder–proposer collusion in sealed execution auctions: The commit structure with sealed bids acts as proof of readiness (PoR). Only proposers who have issued a PoR are penalized if they do not propose.

The biggest UX anti-pattern in crypto is the fact that you can barely use dApps on mobile devices. Nobody wants to open a buggy browser window within their mobile wallet to use an app. People want to go to a website, login, and interact - all in their browser, PWA, or native
