simple mechanisms are often how technologies reach adoption (think of the AMM as the starting point for dexes)

Most progress is just some new breakthrough being latched on to some old construction. For @zkp2p this mean zk proofs latched onto a basic escrow system.

You can see escrow constructions anywhere you look. HTLCs are a great example, at it's core zkp2p is just a web2 to web3 atomic swap.
