One of the best things that capitalism in a _truly free market _ does is reduce the costs of production and acquisition of goods, services and _information_. However in a corrupted economic system, usually by the hand of government, these costs, which would be otherwise reduced in a free market, remain fixed to extract concessions from new entrants. Rather than encouraging innovation to foster Schumpeter’s Creative Destruction, the economy is paused - as if a staff was jammed betwixt rotating gears preventing progression. Markets always come first.
