My buddy shares a ChatGPT account with his partner. Because it's built for a single user, the app's memory represents them as a single hybrid-persona. Their interests / jobs / politics are quite different. Leads to some interesting responses from the LLM that I think most of us wouldn't get.

I thought it was amnesiac between sessions? It used to be at least any given convo would not result in any "learning" by the model

No longer the case. I think it behaves kind of like Alexa or Instagram or TikTok, not entirely but does evolve in step with its user
