Trading isn't as sexy as people make it out to be. It's focus intensive; there's a lot of hard work and self-discipline involved. Trading on a beach with a cocktail in hand is unrealistic. I've never done it; I don't know any serious trader who does it.

Serious traders spend a lot of time analyzing markets, developing strategies, and managing risks. They need to stay informed about global events and economic indicators that could impact their trades. The environment in which they work is usually far from the relaxed, carefree settings often depicted in advertisements.
