The New York State Supreme Court made a ruling on Trump's "hush money" case, declaring him a convicted criminal but granting him unconditional release. Although exempted from imprisonment and not fined or suspended, Trump will undoubtedly become the first convicted president in American history. Regarding the verdict, Trump stated that it was a "shame" and that he had been subjected to "political persecution".
