I don't know how garbage disposals work.

Like I know I put tons of food down there but I have no idea where it goes.

Garbage disposals are basically magic to me ☠️🤣

essentially off to the water treatment plant - along with all the other house sewage / greywater 

and then usually back into a water source which down stream becomes someone else’s drinking water

as a result of this many Canadian municipalities don’t allow them!
