No. Not Stupid. It is a matter of framing and perspective. Being a big fish in a little pond can boost one’s self esteem. Being a big fish in an ocean among intellectual sharks can negatively affect our self-esteem. This is why channels, and cozy corners are essential on /farcaster. We need a way to compare ourselves among our peers. I love to run but I’m not going to compare my splits with @afrochicks. I do weight training 2-3 times a week but I’m not going to check my personal bests against @debbie or @erica Does the NYTimes have a leaderboard for their minis? They would need to list it in thousandths of a second to quell disputes. To have entered the arena at all and emerged with a completed mini word puzzle is the trophy! Well done @gregarious!! You delivered a purple top hat to @adrienne and that is a feat that nobody else can claim.

I think you and I are dealing with a “decent intelligence” level amid a group of “genius intelligence” level people. Malcom Gladwell discussed this scenario around the topic of choosing a college. Smart people going off to Harvard and experiencing being in the bottom half of a class which is actually the top 10% of the entire world.

What’s “spammy” on Farcaster is very subjective and doesn’t fit the traditional definition of “spam”. The nuance is really difficult to understand and I appreciate when the team clarifies their thinking.
