Ilmater (pronounced: /ɪlˈmeɪtɛr/ ihl-MAY-ter[7][2][9][3] about this audio file listen), known to the Iulutiun people of the Great Glacier as Ayuruk and to the Angulutiun people as Itishikopak,[2][6] was the Faerûnian intermediate deity of endurance, martyrdom, perseverance, and suffering. Known variously as the Crying God, the Rack-Broken Lord, and the One Who Endures, Ilmater was the patron of the suffering, oppressed, and persecuted.
