Ok, hypothetical question: Is it better to physically transport seed phrases and trezors during a fire, or to leave behind in a fireproof safe?

IDK if this a joke/meta question, but virtually no fireproof safe is that fireproof (nor the insides that heat-proof). The idea of a fireproof safe is to give enough time for firefighters to quickly respond and extinguish a controllable household blaze, not to survive until the neighborhood has turned to ashes from an apocalyptic inferno

I have a significant buffer from the nearest wildfires and the wind is in my favor. I appreciate the answer. It would hypothetically be easier to react in the future when things are thought through. Metals stay in safe, everything else would need to go👍🏼

Stay safe, ser. Maybe keep a bugout bag ready. Also consider splitting your seed phrase into three chunks, each containing a different two-thirds of the words (1-3, 2-3, 1-2) and store them at other trusted locations that only you know. So that you only need to combine two of them to rebuild your wallet. I think that’s better than a safe against both fires and robberies

What I want to do is use the materials I work with every day to make a proper fire shield and put it around my safe. I work with the insulation at the aft end of rockets for a living. 😭 but I can’t take anything home (and honestly wouldn’t want that stuff in my home 99% of the time)
