Once the current utility from free tipping disappears with the final airdrop, is there a genuine long term bull case for $DEGEN? What will prevent it from decaying into irrelevance like the thousands of meme coins before it? Looking for serious replies, not $DEGEN to $1 memes.

What can the L3 offer that e.g. the Base L2 cannot? I can swap or mint using $DEGEN easily today on Uniswap or Zora on Base, for instance. Is there a specific use case that an L3 unlocks?

1/ speed+low costs due to trust assumptions, comparable to a free Postgres or single Redis, but it scales forever 2/ smart contracts effectively have a native oracle to Farcaster protocol activity I think the next generation of token gates, portable game assets, and creator subscriptions can live on the L3

That's the elephant in the room - there isn't really any app differentiation atm that said, I know good folks like @renstern.eth are working on cool things so we'll just have to wait and see
