The most obvious application of AI I haven't seen shipped is a keyboard that lets you type extremely fast and magically corrects all the mistakes. This feels like a GPT2 level task. No fancy mechawordcel needed, just a decent local language model with the lowest possible latency. Has anyone built this?

Ironically, it was the intent with the iOS screen keyboard’s autocorrect feature — in one Apple’s engineer’s words, you were supposed to type fast, not mind what you typed, and just “use the force”. But, of course, it doesn’t work as well as you suggested, as it is oblivious to context, meaning the corrections are often comically and naively off the mark Bullish on local/edge device LLMs solving that 1000 $DEGEN
