Pretty incredible — Malaysia has agreed to restart the search for the MH370 wreckage. Let’s hope we solve this once and for all https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/cewxnwe5d11o

We need closure on this so bad. It's the JFK assassination of our time. What's your favourite hypothesis?

I must admit that (as an industry person myself) I initially resisted the pilot murder-suicide hypothesis for a long time. I stubbornly considered the hijacking, the catastrophic avionics bay fire, etc. But the precise hand-flown navigation at the FIR boundaries until NOPEK followed by a due south course shows intent and proficiency characteristic of a pilot who knows what he’s doing. It’s one of those wicked problems where no hypothesis is fully satisfactory — which makes this mystery absolutely maddening

When you see that one laid out, it's definitely the easiest (as a non-industry professional) to believe. The leaps in logic aren't immediately clear for someone like me. The one about the US disappearing the plane with some secret weapon because some engineers were going to pass onto to the Chinese is quite something. In any case, really curious what the credible evidence is!
