The political compass meme should be updated with a utilitarian vs deontologist dimension, because that’s much of what it boils down to these days

I'm so out of the political loop...Everytime I semi go in I walk right out. I have never seen Joe Rogan or any other typical podcasts... Up until recently I've been out of the "real World" mentally https://media.tenor.com/fB-jBCXlCfUAAAAC/simpsons-bart-simpson

I also try to consume fewer political news (especially relative to, say, 2016-2017), because it’s an exhausting firehose, and much of it is posturing that gets walked back within days (tariffs are a good example). More importantly, I try to stay “meta” and not get drawn into the endless and debilitating red vs blue tug of war. By that, I mean that I’m more interested in the big Overton window shifts we’re witnessing, but with an almost anthropological curiosity, if that makes sense. I also think that the last thing social media needs is yet another opinion, which is why I rarely share mine. I can afford to do that because I’m not American and I live far from the US. But what I cannot afford to do is ignore it entirely, because it eventually affects my job and industry as well, even if indirectly

I agree as we don't need more opinions. I do understand in the political sense some desire for my opinion but like you said I try and avoid but we are attached in one way shape or form (directly/indirectly) I also just watch shifts over long periods of time which I think is comical sometimes when people say..."wait, when did that happen" because it happened slowly (like changing law's that normally would follow after a major law or change is made at the top) I feel like I do well as an outside observer or having a unique take. Many of these politicians etc I had gotten to know them and their families (my team did tests on every new baby within the first "x" hours of birth) this was done with the family so... I try and take the "personal" side away from the "political action" as best as I can. In the end it's easier just to stay away from it.
