Help me navigate the cognitive dissonance here I wouldn’t buy at this price Yet I wouldn’t sell either, which implies that I’m bullish on price and not expecting any imminent opportunity to buy much lower Opportunity cost still feels cognitively different from using fresh gunpowder directly

For me one of the reasons is "tax". I guess the main reason is just stupid and emotional, from a rational point of view we all should be buying and not compare to 100$ or 1000$ buys from 2020 or last year.

I'm personally no longer buying. Selling just a little at a time. Will sell 80% at $9000 mark. The rest is my forever stack.

Probably just split up your powder and buy in smaller junks to participate in both cases it goes higher or lower.

You are simply buying at this price. Any day you didn’t sell your ETH, you decided buying it.

Something I've learned over 4 cycles; Accept you will never be happy with either your buys or sells. You likely will not catch the bottom. You likely will not catch the top. Acceptance of this keeps you away from euphoria traps designed to rid you of your ETH.

it sounds like you believe there will be an opportunity to buy lower in the not too distant future. imo it would make sense to have in mind a number (or dip %) where you would pull the trigger. in the moment it always feels a bit too expensive.

the dissonance comes from trying to figure out the perfect timing to maximize returns - come up with the lowest acceptable price for you to buy and hodl! 🚀

I think if you have a plan on where you wanna buy (lower) then all is good. I find myself in similar thought but when it dips I just wait for further dips, generally speaking.
