My fave has to be how the French “mitochondrie” kept its prefix as “muta” when incorporated into the Arabic language, but got given a native Arabic matching suffix “qaddirah” using the root q-d-r for “power”. Whoever did this knew full well that the mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell
