Bots are now using Gen AI to craft plausible replies to questions. Except they still miss the context and come out as nonsense. Here, I was asking how to increase my peer count in the context of running a /quilibrium node. Still, it’s fascinating to see. Is the end game to build followers and monetize the account?

It's weird to see so many comments just recapping what is said in the original cast. Then the other thing is just to say beautiful or w/e even if there is no beauty in what has been posted. 😅 I wonder when it gets harder to recognize?

Which leads to an interesting question. Once we have bots that are fully capable of contextualizing and forming thoughtful replies indistinguishable from humans (as we inevitably will), should we ban them? 1/3

Assume that by that time, they’ll be able to participate in productive conversations, can meaningfully challenge points of view, provide alternate perspectives, etc. Essentially functionally replicating a human conversation partner. 2/3
