Earned my PPL in 2019 thinking I’d be a private pilot and fly for fun for the rest of my days. Opportunity struck last year when I was offered a position running a flight school & skydive startup, and I haven’t looked back. Finishing up IFR and onward to commercial. Whats your 🛩️ story?

Got mine in 2013. Had received my scuba instructor rating from PADI the previous year and was looking for another challenge. I was working with aviation clients anyway so I felt it was fitting to do the PPL 250 $degen

I ended up moving, and where I live now it’s just too expensive and impractical. Plus with a kid I’m a little more cautious — flying just enough to build confidence but not enough to be really proficient puts you into that danger zone of overestimating your abilities

A respectable amount of self awareness. Instrument training is a blast, as well as a challenge. If it’s something you’d like to pursue one day (and if this bull cycle helps ease the financial burden), I’m happy to be the one to nudge you into it. 🤝
