I absolutely love geckos. They just chill all day, rid us of those pesky mosquitoes, walk upside down on ceilings, and can even lick their eyeballs. Meanwhile I work all day, get bitten by mosquitoes, and can’t even lick my elbows

You talked about a side of their storybook. What about times when they have to pass out waste? 👀 I totally hate them especially when you find droplets around from a chillin gecko.

Totally agree. I was surprised to learn that they are often considered pests in Southeast Asia. They do leave droppings behind and can end up dying inside air conditioners and other appliances but in my limited experience it’s rarely a problem. And their cuteness and other qualities more than make up for it imo.

In the summer, I used to spend my holidays at my grandparents' village house, where there were geckos on the roofs. I like them now, but I have to admit that when I was a child, they scared me.
