Do you really anticipate inflows from buyers who aren’t already exposed to the BTC ETF?

I see the ETH ETF mostly as an additional line item in crypto ETF portfolios, i.e. people who already own the BTC ETF and want to diversify their crypto exposure.

I don’t know that there’s a significant market of people who are both interested in ETH and not BTC, and who don’t already hold ETF though usual means (CEX or self-custody).

I agree with that but my point is that these funds are also investing in the BTC ETFs; they’re not going to be savvy enough to pick just ETH over BTC for their portfolio.

So, it will continue to be institutional investors in BTC+ETH (or Nasdaq+BTC+ETH) instead of, say, Nasdaq+ETH.

Yes I think so. 

Ethereum expands into new investor segments with every cycle. 

2013 pre-ETH was just silicon valley crowd, 2017 global retail came, 2021 artists and creatives joined and now 2024 hedge funds and financial institutions might join via the ETFs
