For every fraud like SBF giving EA a bad rep, there is an actual philanthropist improving the human condition away from the spotlight. In 1984, Chuck Feeney secretly gave away all his shares in DFS, the largest travel retail company he founded in 1960, to his philanthropic foundation, for a total of $8B in donations

Robin Williams put in his rider for every film he did that production was required to hire at least 10 homeless people and put them to work. I don’t believe he ever talked about it publicly.

Good deeds always come back in unexpected ways. I wish ppl would realize that and give more. The only problem that comes with giving is the entitlement mentality. Lol

It's true that the actions of a few can cast a shadow over entire movements, but stories like Chuck Feeney's remind us of the profound impact true philanthropists can have. Feeney's dedication to giving back, away from the public eye, is a testament to the quiet, transformative power of genuine altruism.
