It feels somewhat paradoxical to be celebrating the approval of a custodial TradFi vehicle for ETH.

What I’m most bullish about today is the regulatory clarity this brings to the ecosystem. It feels like a large dark cloud above our heads has dissipated. It brings peace and a renewed focus on building and execution. Now all we need is for the clownish lawsuits to be abandoned or fall apart as well. 2/3

We might just be entering the acceptance stage of ETH as a commodity that fuels a network rich with utility. That makes me bullish on the future and not just price for the sake of it (although price is a valid proxy for market recognition and Lindyness). 3/3

I guess it’s now in the hands of Blackrock, VanEck, etc to market it appropriately to the ETF target audience of fund managers. It’s definitely not as easy as selling “digital gold” — most people won’t understand a settlement layer, a world computer, security from staking, the post-1559 monetary policy, etc

Agreed, but if the inflows don’t completely disappoint (which would harm the narrative which would harm the price) the additional buy pressure will likely have a positive impact as well. I also believe that ETH is harder to market, buyers won’t understand it easily… but potentially will still buy anyways?
