On what basis would that be illegal?

It’s legal for an app to push ads, and to activate Face ID on demand (many iOS apps do).

iOS handles the authentication and returns a binary result to the app (pass / not pass), so it’s not like the app is capturing your face. There’s no privacy concern.

Wouldn’t that be considered as illegal if it ever happened lol
