Please, for the love of all that’s holy, don’t suggest Lido as an alternative to solo staking.

Lido is an economic attack on the Ethereum network, and newcomers won’t be aware of the harm that it does.

At the very least, if you want to suggest LSTs, there are more decentralized alternatives.

On a related note, I’ve been updating my calculations about staking returns in light of the beacon chain crossing the 800K validator mark & the attendant dilution.

You now need 15 validators (~$750K) to be guaranteed to receive 1 full ETH per month in consensus rewards alone (i.e., excluding random proposals & MEV).

I don’t recommend any. I only recommend solo staking. I understand that not many people can afford enough validators to make solo staking worthwhile (CapEx, maintenance, etc.). But the beacon chain exists to secure the network, not to create a rent economy at the expense of decentralization and permissionlessness. #1
