2025 is the year the user manual dies. Don’t bother with writing user manuals anymore, nobody will read them. Write training documentation intended for front-end LLMs instead

I wouldn't say it dies, but rather it evolves from a static document to a dynamic one. There's no shortage of front ends to choose from. Depending on the manual, I can see people uploading them to multiple of these for maximum exposure. For ease of accessibility, ChatGPT's frontend is fine , but if you want to fine tune it, there's options like help center https://help.center/

Let me rephrase: the act of downloading a 300-page PDF document in which you have to ctrl-F whatever you’re trying to solve and parse through the multiple results to find the one that applies — is dying, in favor of asking embedded and purpose-trained LLMs how to do stuff It doesn’t roll off the tongue as well but I think we’re saying the same thing eventually 😅

Oh yeah, RIP to those days. No doubt, will turn into a "Back in my day we had to sift through this shit manually" and have a bunch of blank looks from people who came of age in the era of the LLM.
