What is everyone’s average response time for texts?

Do you get annoyed if people reply to you a few days late?

I counted 8 messaging app on my phone, 3 social media apps with messaging capabilities, & 4 separate email addresses monitored across 3 email apps.

My phone screen looks like a Xmas tree every morning and I spend 30’ basically just reviewing and clearing up notifications. It’s stress-inducing and barely manageable

Although I must shamefully admit there’s also the occasional passive-aggressive temptation to not respond quickly to messages that are pointless or use the wrong channel of communication, to avoid setting the wrong expectation that I’m available 24/7 at short notice

Very often I’ll get a messaging notification when I’m busy - in a meeting, trying to do deep work, getting out of a cab, boarding a flight, etc so I might “read” the message but cannot respond right away. By the time that I can, I’ve forgotten about it. That’s my leading cause of delayed replying
