I was heart broken the day they announced its decommissioning. I have childhood memories of running SETI@Home everywhere I could and the data was largely fed from Arecibo IIRC

I was interested in SETI@home as a child as well! Distinctly remember being in awe of how connected it made me feel about the world, with such a project being run globally.

I miss that awe.
