ultimately, teams should eventually be comfortable with coins, or should be explicit about what their business model is. no one talks about uniswap as though the protocol isn't serious, or the team hasn't shipped meaningful tech, even though almost every single memecoin is downstream of what erc20 + Uniswap v1 proliferated

Sometimes, tokenizing your project is the way to start in this space. If the token fails to get traction, or even worse, gets rejected by the ecosystem, then the plan might need an overhaul.
