Riambel by Priya Hein A very short novel exploring the life of a mixed-race young woman and how colonization has officially ended, but things remain pretty much the same in modern Mauritius. An excellent book, contemporary literary fiction, with content warnings for sexual abuse, infidelity, suicide, and the very stark racism of it all.
