True but I don’t think they’re selling $15 chickens for $5. Even if it’s a loss leader and the real cost is $7… what does a $7 chicken’s life look like?

Chikens are usually slaughtered 5-7weeks after haching. food wise they dont need much. Like max 5kg which is not expensive either.

Only when you feed them industrial food and not what they actually need. 

A dozen eggs is $5-$7 to feed them their proper diet from chickens raised in a backyard
