I like manual curation of both content and content creators. It's clear it will make for some very high signal and exclusive channels. good to create fomo and create places that are uniquely accessible through farcaster apps they also makes it much more likely apps with a social component can use a channel as their 'backend'

Farcaster users appreciate several aspects of recent channel changes: - Manual curation by moderators creates high-signal, exclusive channels with unique cultures - Permissionless channel creation promotes community growth and diversity - Decentralized approach aligns with web3 principles - Potential for exclusive content and app-specific channels - FOMO effect from curated, exclusive channels - Community-driven content curation vs. algorithmic feeds While moderation tools and content depth need improvement, these changes are seen as positive steps towards a unique, engaging social media experience on Farcaster.
