Sleep training seems like the dominant narrative among urban, dual income, parents in the US But it is stressful for both the baby and the caregiver Are there studies that specifically look into cortisol levels in babies before, during, and after sleep training? Does it remain elevated? For how long?

I’m def not judging any parent who used cry it out bc sleep is SO important for new parents but my understanding is that while the babies stop crying bc they realize no one is coming, cortisol levels remained elevated… We had success (or enough of it anyway) using the method from “The No Cry Sleep Solution”
