in fact, serious question: is ethereum intended to be basically unusable because the model is now that it’s just a settlement layer and consumer/retail use being impossible is actually a feature not a bug?

so, I use uniswap pools a lot - providing liquidity across dozens of pairs. but can someone explain to me why it’s not possible to do this on ethereum? I use base, avalanche, etc - but entering deposits in a pool on ethereum has never succeeded once. why?

The right side of that graph should be labeled “ZIRP mode”…

The problem is that a lot of other things depend on real estate. This is an interesting idea, but if you executed it my personal guess is that the resulting crash in the assets that people are holding in brokerage accounts (while waiting to someday buy a home) would leave them just as far away from it as they are now.

People seem to want to not understand it… that the card cartel serves the shoppers of the upper middle class. You can try and go to war with Visa (it’s justified, surely) - but it’s a war on behalf of merchants, a war against consumers, and it will never have widespread appeal. Crypto is great, but people love CC

Just now realizing that the Warpcast app does not support airplay (you can’t direct audio from it to anywhere else). This is obviously horrible, but I also didn’t realize apps were even permitted to do this…

I think advocates on all sides conflate two things, leading to confusion: what should the law *permit* (guided by your principle, surely) and what should the government support/endorse/lower barriers to/encourage or discourage via tax policy/etc. These must be separated: one is a matter of rights - the other of policy.

I have been doing this since the release of the M1 Ultra studio. Highly recommend it. I use it mostly as a remote backend for my IDE on MacBook Air and iPad, and I definitely don’t see its OS using up much of my resources ever.

That’s simply not a large enough corpus for (present-day) ML systems to derive useful comprehension of the language that the text is written in. So your only choice, if you want useful language generation, is to fine-tune an existing model to take advantage of language capabilities derived from a much larger dataset.

It’s base ten. Clearly base 10 is tautological and makes no sense…

You start life thinking you need to write everything from scratch. Then you grow up and realize that you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Then you really grow up, and *always* reinvent *every* wheel so you never have to deal with other people’s crap again.

I'm excited to see /roam officially launch. it's an onchain explorer for onchain explorers. After using it for a week, I'm impressed by its sleek design and smooth experience. The best part is how it connects to the Farcaster social graph, letting me explore a wider onchain world through my friends' activities.
