To say that Zuck is delusional about the AVP is also to intentionally misunderstand him. Yes, he‘s worth a billion dollars but what tells you that this is not also him having fun? Why take everything at face value?

My take is that he’s sincere, but that he can’t himself relate to the type of user that would choose Apple over Meta (user “trusts” Apple, makes choices on intuitions about safety not specs, etc) so he ends up making the case in a way that most customers he is missing out on won’t respond to.
