Yeah it's hard to argue without appealing to the existence of a soul and metaphysical/religious beliefs I base my position on, but I still think there's something to be said about not having certainty of your death until the moment it happens, and the value of obstinance in the face of evil as an example for others.

I think about the Christian martyrs and how their deaths at the hands of many States across the world had long lasting effects that inspire people to this day. It's still a hard sell, and depending on the situation the ask to not take an easier way out is heroic, but I do think there is a perceivable positive difference in favor of being killed vs killing yourself.

No I know those arguments, and they are the most compelling to me tbh. But I get so mad when I see what we are building to and I don’t want to give them the satisfaction. It feels like they would have victory over me, idk. But the spiritual cost to your point is tremendous and my thinking may be the greatest self own of all time
