hmm I kinda get what you're saying but am not ready to give up on the promise of crypto (cryptography, that is, not cryptocurrencies) to free us humans

If i wanted to gate something i can just use stripe - there isn’t a 10x to it imo

Kinda not related but in general imo if you want to gate something/make it private it shouldn’t be on a blockchain - although sufficiently decentralized ways may be better :)
