"Such tokens - much wow" Not the curation markets we've been looking for Kingpost looks back at Uptober as we are closing Q4 2024 https://paragraph.xyz/@kingpost/memecoins-vs-curation-markets?referrer=0x36de990133D36d7E3DF9a820aA3eDE5a2320De71

you pose "curation" as an unquestioned good. what if the revealed natural market outcome is that: a stated desire for better long-tail content surfacing mechanisms is totally swamped by the appeal of easy money? after all, hasn't the market spoken and rewarded those it has rewarded? Dan Brown and Michael Crichton have won, and egghead tastes are sufficiently (if not over-) served by the market

The intern does not know how @connorkeenan is gonna respond yet again the intern thinks that subjective plays around Keynesian Beauty Contests/ popularity contests will be still dealth their easy money hand while we will be finding out a way for curated registries that will question curation well-structurally and come up with better solutions.

yes in other words, to reward tastemaking we probably should not use continuous auctions, eg memecoins i think there's alot of room for experimentation here
