Very Internet Person

we love talking about what social media platform is going to stay 

but at the end of the day, we all are just looking for a corner of the internet that provides a glimpse of comfort in this increasingly distopian world, where our souls and autonomy are not chipped away every time we choose to stay on a little longer.

i have been increasingly feeling that social media is not that place and no social media will ever be that place

I want to say that autonomy and comfort are incompatible in a relevant way.

The more you choose comfort the less autonomous you will become over time because all comfort comes at the cost of giving up control to higher forces that you may not like very much eventually.
