Totally gutted!
In spite of being extra cautious, I was hacked today by an account with username @er0r4o4 That user posed as cartoon lover and used to chat with me about cartoons, our cartoon festival etc. Then he said he can try to get me caricature freelance work at a Japanese news portal.
And today we were supposed to have a meeting online.
And he sent a link to a chat app named Gatherum
Though I didn't install it, downloading was good enough to compromise my wallet, I guess.
I have lost around  $4,000 in $RARE, $DEGEN, $MoXIE & USDC
I'm so sad that most the funds raised for our cartoon festival is gone.

Of course it was a moment of carelessness on my part.

Dear artists,
be careful and just trust yourself :))

Around this time last year, I got scammed by someone I thought was a friend and lost nearly $1000…

I had earned that money from selling my art, and it really stung. 
Trusting him was a mistake, and it reminded me how harsh the world can be sometimes. 
The fruits of our hard work can vanish in an instant.

I totally get your pain,
When this happened to me, a friend told me: "You've learned a great lesson, and soon you'll earn much more than this." 🫂🫀

Yes, unfortunately, we artists are the big target of scammers, because we trust more easily :))

Same feeling here. As artists we are all compassionate and trust people easily. Expensively lesson.
