Absolutely. But if you are official press, you are reporting. Press monetizes, too. I think that's okay. And if you have doubt on a certain video, reserve some of the earnings for if they come knocking. I think what you do is very justified. You report, you promote art through your channels. I'm not a copyright or IP lawyer, but I believe that is allowed in any case. Worst thing that can happen with this is that people claim earnings. But probably, in a very rare case, you get a cease and desist letter. Then you simply take down the video and be done. You can always offer a split then, too, in good faith, if you want to keep the relation nice.
I wouldn't worry too much, but hopefully an IP/copyright lawyer can be more precise about this. 1 reply

Did they give you guidelines? Press monetises their reporting, right, so why wouldn't you be allowed?
As for crypto/web3, it depends. Events have press passes, I think, Otherwise, most of the artists/creators/organisers would be happy to talk to you and come to an understanding. You are a big name in the space. You reporting or sharing is valuable to many, plus, you need to get paid, too, for your work.
Anyway. Not saying I have the wisdom, but I really think that for people like you, it's okay. Everybody gets it, you are acting in good faith and there's room for dealmaking.
Just my 2 cents. 0 reply
